Saltire Success at World Event!

We couldn't be more proud of our son Matthew!

Since starting Tae Kwon-do training with Miss Cameron (VI Degree) at Saltire in 2016, he's achieved incredible success and is now almost at black belt!. 🥋🏅

 

Matthew has won several medals, competing in national and international events and has also won gold, in in a World Championship!​​​

​Saltire isn't just about winning medals—although many students have certainly done that! The true impact lies in the development of respect, confidence, and discipline among young members. Kids learn to set goals, work hard, and support each other, fostering a strong sense of community and self-belief. The benefits of training at Saltire are immense, helping children grow into respectful, confident, and resilient individuals.

Saltire Martial Arts

We are one of the longest running martial arts schools in Aberdeenshire, with over thirty years of experience.

Saltire is a family oriented academy, dedicated to providing Authentic ITF Taekwondo & Korean Kickboxing.  All our classes are only taught by ITF Certified Instructors & black belts.

 

We strive to inspire each & every student to strengthen their mind & body through our fun and enjoyable age specific programmes.

  • Ninja Kidz (for 3 – 6 year olds) 

  • Dragon Warriors (for 7 - 9 year olds) 

  • Juniors (10 - 12 year olds) 

  • Youth/ Seniors (13+) 

  • Families

  • Korean Kickboxing

These programmes enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way, helping children with general motor skills, good posture, positive attitude, discipline, respect, and confidence.  They will learn how to work with others and follow instructions from the coaches.

 

Some children will shy away from challenges and only choose to participate in activities that they are sure they will do well in.  We believe and encourage all children to meet and succeed with all challenges, thus building self-esteem & a more confident outlook in later life.

Kinellar is a great facility in the centre of Blackburn providing many activities to residents.
